The Play at the Well Event Series returns this weekend with family-friendly entertainment and more at the Artesian Commons park in downtown Olympia.
The first event runs noon-3 p.m. Saturday (June 27) with local improv theater group the Heartsparkle Players as well as music by DJ Skrill Meadow. Three more Play at the Well events featuring local entertainers are slated for July 25, Aug. 15 and Aug. 29. Details will be announced later.
The Artesian Commons, site of the historic artesian well, is at 415 Fourth Ave. E. The events are hosted by the city and the Downtown Ambassador Program with assistance from sponsors Titus Will and MIXX 96.1.
The series is part of the city’s effort to hold more events at the Artesian Commons and promote the tiny park as a positive public gathering spot.
