Monday is the last day to submit a new voter registration or update an existing voter registration online or by mail, in time to participate in Thurston County’s Aug. 4 primary election.
Residents who are not currently registered in Washington state will still be able to register in person until July 27. Registration can be done at Thurston County Courthouse, 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Building 1, Room 118, Olympia.
The primary election will include 25 candidates in eight different races, including Port of Olympia districts 1 and 3, Olympia mayor, Olympia City Council position 2, Tenino mayor, Tenino City Council position 5, Yelm City Council position 6, and Centralia School Board director 2. The ballot also will include maintenance and operations levies in Black Lake and McLane fire districts.
