Tri-Cities man airlifted to Harborview after crashing motorcycle in Mason County

A 54-year-old man from West Richland was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Saturday after he crashed his motorcycle in Mason County, according to Washington State Patrol

The man suffered a compound fracture to one of his legs, said trooper Katherine Weatherwax via social media.

About 1 p.m. Saturday, the man was headed south on U.S. 101 at Old Olympic Highway near Totten Inlet. Troopers say he drove to the left and struck a cable barrier.

The man was wearing a helmet and no drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to State Patrol.
