A 45-year-old Hoquiam woman who was taken into police custody at about 8 p.m. Monday after a nearly four-hour standoff faces first degree murder and assault charges, KBKW reports.
The woman is suspected of stabbing a man multiple times on a sidewalk near the intersection of 4th and M streets a few hours earlier, according to The Daily World.
The victim died Monday afternoon at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, according to KBKW.
The woman was recently released from jail after completing a 90-day sentence for stabbing another man and has a history of mental illness, Hoquiam Police chief Jeff Myers told The Daily World.
