Thayer pleaded guilty July 25, 1991, in Thurston County Juvenile Court to charges of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, first-degree child molestation and first-degree child rape. Thayer was found guilty May 19, 1993, in Cowlitz County Juvenile Court of two counts of indecent liberties and was sentenced to between one year, 28 weeks, and nearly two years on each count.
