A 24-year-old registered sex offender was arrested Monday on suspicion of raping a co-worker in Lacey, according to the state Department of Corrections.
Jack Clayton Rosenstrom was being held Wednesday at the Thurston County Jail with bail set at $100,000 after a judge found probable cause to order him held on suspicion of second-degree rape and attempted second-degree rape.
According to court papers:
A 21-year-old reported the rape to Lacey police Monday.
He said the rape occurred early Saturday morning, while he was staying the night at Rosenstrom’s Lacey home after they had spent an evening at Fox’s strip club in Parkland.
The man said Rosenstrom woke him after he had gone to sleep, then raped him.
Rosenstrom is a registered Level 2 sex offender. He was convicted of third-degree rape in June. His information indicates that the victim was a 27-year-old woman he didn’t know.
Rosenstrom was released Feb. 12 from the Thurston County Jail after serving a sentence for his conviction, according to state Department of Corrections spokesman Chad Lewis. His photograph was not available Wednesday.
