1 arrested, another sought in triple slaying

SALKUM - A man believed to be connected with the triple-killing in Lewis County last weekend has been arrested in Redmond.

Washington State Department of Corrections officials told KOMO-TV that Ryan J. McCarthy was arrested for a parole violation because of his possible involvement in the triple homicide. Officials would not say what role McCarthy is suspected of playing in the murders or how they located him.

A manhunt continues for a man accused of killing three people Saturday at a home in the town of Salkum.

Authorities believe 31-year-old John Allen Booth Jr. of Onalaska may have been trying to collect on a drug debt. He’s accused of shooting 52-year-old David J. West Sr., his 16-year-old son, David Jr., both of Salkum, and 50-year-old Tony E. Williams, of Mineral.
