The King County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a suspect who attacked a 54-year-old woman Friday about 1 p.m. as she was walking on a trail near near Evanscreek Pond Reserve in Sammamish.
She was not injured and managed to fight with her attacker and get away. She ran to her nearby home.
Police say the man had tried to drag her into a wooded area on the west side of N.E. 19th St., just south of 224th Place N.E.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, about 6 feet tall, and weighing at least 200 pounds with a “chunky” build. He spoke with an Eastern European accent and had a thin, dark mustache. His hair and eyes were also dark in color. He wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark work boots with hook-type eyelets.
He may have driven a dull blue, full size, two door pick-up truck. The truck was about 10 years old.
Police were unable to find the man or his truck.
If anyone recognizes the suspect they are asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at (206) 296-3311 (24 hours) or 911.
