A bicyclist was flown to Harborview Medical Center on Sunday after he was hit by a pickup near Shelton, according to the State Patrol.
Northbound U.S. 101 was blocked for about an hour and a half following the wreck, which happened shortly after 3 p.m. at West Airview Way, which is 1.5 miles north of Shelton.
The 29-year-old from the United Kingdom was riding north on the shoulder of U.S. 101 when the pickup driver swerved to avoid a southbound vehicle and hit him, the State Patrol said.
Troopers do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.

Information about the bicyclist’s condition was not immediately available.
The 40-year-old driver of the pickup, from Hoodsport, was not injured.
