Crews fought a fire at garage Thursday night on Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The blaze started about 7:30 p.m. in a housing area of the base, north of the DuPont gate at Interstate 5 exit 119, JBLM spokesman John Norgren said. Crews had it contained as of about 9 p.m.
It started in a detached garage, spread to a nearby awning, and appears to have caused minor damage to an adjacent home, Norgren said.
No one was seriously injured, and no families were displaced.
