Police are searching for a man who robbed a west Olympia bank on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Olympia Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a robbery at about 1:20 p.m. after a man armed with a handgun entered Umpqua Bank, located on the 3000 block of Harrison Avenue. No one was injured, and the man ran northbound from the bank.
A K9 team tried to track the man, but officers were unable to find him.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, wearing a grey sweatshirt and a black mask.
Capital High School and Jefferson Middle School were locked down during the investigation.
