3 masked gunmen flee robbery scene near school in southeast Lacey

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery involving three masked gunmen who fled through a neighborhood in southeast Lacey.

The robbery occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of Ruddell Road Southeast. Three armed black males allegedly broke into a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and marijuana, said Sgt. Ray Brady. At least three people were in the house when the robbery occurred, and no injuries were reported, Brady said.

Callers reported seeing the three men running down Ruddell Road toward Chambers Prairie Elementary School.

A K-9 unit tracked the three suspects to the parking lot at the school, where they are believed to have fled in a vehicle, Brady said. The suspects are still at large and the case is under investigation, Brady said.
