One man was taken to the hospital and one man was taken to jail following State Route 507 collision on Wednesday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the scene at about 7:20 a.m. for a two-car collision three miles south of Yelm. The crash was caused by a 40-year-old Rochester man, who was driving north and swerved into oncoming traffic. He hit a car driven by a 51-year-old Rainier man.
The Rochester man was arrested for vehicular assault and taken to the Thurston County Jail. The Rainier man was taken to Harborview Medical Center. State Route 507 was closed for about four hours after the collision.
