SOUTH SOUND: Students honored for academic success

South Puget Sound Community College students Jennylle Zanzi and Tzu-Yu (Joy) Huang recently earned spots on the 2010 All-Washington Academic Team. They were among 63 students honored Thursday at the college.

The students selected for the team “demonstrate a commitment to success in the classroom and in their communities,” according to a news release from SPSCC.

Zanzi, 31, is a nursing major with a 4.0 grade-point average. Huang, 20, is a business major maintaining a 3.84 GPA. Huang, from Taiwan, also has helped teach Mandarin Chinese to students through the Language Partner Program, according to the news release.
