SPSCC to hold American Indian event

South Puget Sound Community College will host its annual Native American Heritage Celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts, 2011 Mottman Road S.W., Olympia.

The free event will include workshops, Coast Salish performances, tribal presentations and American Indian arts and crafts vendors.

The Center for the Arts Gallery also will feature an American Indian art exhibit that runs through May 3. The gallery will remain open during the celebration. Regular gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
