The Evergreen State College has been ranked among the 15 "greenest" schools in the nation, with the highest possible score of 99 from The Princeton Review, a publisher of higher-education guidebooks.
Schools were evaluated based on healthy and sustainable quality of life, education in green-energy businesses, and environmentally responsible school policies, according to a news release. The results were published in a book called “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges,” which was released this week.
The University of Washington also scored 99 in the green index. Also in the book are Western Washington University, Central Washington University, Washington State University, Pacific Lutheran University, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle University and Whitman College.
