Military People for August 12

Air Force

Air Force Airman 1st Class Amber P. Miller graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Momi Friedlander of Olympia, and a 2006 graduate of North Thurston High School, Lacey.

Air Force Airman Katelyn M. Woodruff graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Joanne and Anthony Woodruff of Olympia.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Scott K. Raedel graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Larry and Holly Raedel of Olympia, and a 2001 graduate of Olympia High School. Raedel received a bachelor’s degree in 2005 from Washington State University, Pullman.

Army

Army 1st Lt. Joshua Rodriguez has graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., with authorization to wear the distinctive Ranger Tab. Rodriguez’ is the son-in-law of Mari Acosta of Allyn. He received a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.

Navy

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Bryan R. Graves, of Yelm, recently left on a scheduled three-month deployment in support of Southern Partnership Station (SPS). He is a 2006 graduate of Yelm High School.

Navy Seaman Sutarto Soeng recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Lyliawati and Sugiarto Soeng of Lacey.
