Kathleen Sebelius, the U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services, will speak at the University of Washington's graduation ceremonies June 11 at Husky Stadium.
Sebelius was sworn in as the nation’s top health official in April 2009. She oversees one of the largest civilian departments in the federal government and is in charge of implementing the new national health care law.
Sebelius was the governor of Kansas from 2003 to 2009.
About 4,500 graduates are expected to attend UW’s 136th commencement ceremonies, with an expected audience of about 35,000 family members and guests.
