New job leads to Gregoire staff changes

Gov. Chris Gregoire continued a shuffle in her staff after her manager of external affairs, Ron Judd, moved to the Department of Transportation.

Judd will serve as the outreach director for the Alaska Way viaduct project. His duties in the Governor’s Office are being assigned to Marty Loesch, Gregoire’s general counsel. Loesch’s title changes to director of external affairs and senior counsel.

Before joining Gregoire’s staff last year, Loesch was the director of intergovernmental affairs for the Swinomish Indian tribe and had been in private practice with three firms.

The changes come the same week former Ecology director Jay Manning took over as chief of staff for Cindy Zehnder.
