Lt. Gov. Brad Owen’s 37-year-old son, Mark, was discharged Tuesday from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The man accused of shooting him, Carlos Fernandez, remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit, hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson said.
Police say Mark Owen was shot in the arm and abdomen Monday at his workplace in Kent. He is a partner with Fernandez in a paint and body shop for semitrailers, KBP & Fabrications.
Kent police say Fernandez, 63, shot Owen during an argument, then shot himself in the head.
