Leader of Together takes state liquor job

Mary Segawa, the executive director of Together for 14 years, will resign Jan. 15. She has taken a job as the prevention manager for the state Liquor Control Board and said she will work to reduce underage drinking statewide and promote public safety.

Kathy Houston, a retired director of the Girl Scouts Pacific Peaks Council, will serve as the interim executive director of Together while a search is conducted. Together is a nonprofit that aims at preventing youth substance abuse and violence.
