Recreation-conservation grants on tap

The state Recreation and Conservation Office will offer grants this spring to build parks and trails, conserve wildlife habitat, and protect farmland.

Since 1964, the office has granted nearly $1.5 billion for more than 6,600 projects across the state, according to a news release.

For more information about grants available this year, go to the office’s Web site at www.rco.wa.gov/ grants/grants_available.shtml.
