Under the Dome: Today is Thursday, March 13, the 60th day of the 60-day legislative session

Today is Thursday, March 13, the 60th day of the 60-day legislative session.

NOTEWORTHY

Thursday is the last day of the legislative session.

The House passed resolutions Wednesday honoring Rep. Mike Hope, R-Lake Stevens, and Rep. Mary Helen Roberts, D-Lynnwood. Both lawmakers will not seek re-election this fall.

The House passed a measure that would exclude producers of marijuana and marijuana-infused products from qualifying for agriculture tax breaks. The legislation, which cleared the Senate unanimously last week and moved out of the House on a 55-42 vote, now heads to Gov. Jay Inslee’s desk.

THURSDAY IN THE LEGISLATURE

The House Environment Committee will meet to discuss fish populations and its use as an indicator of Puget Sound recovery. The hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. in Hearing Room C of the John L. O’Brien Building.

ELSEWHERE ON CAMPUS

Gov. Jay Inslee will hold a press conference Thursday to discuss the legislative session.
