Olympia's Rep. Sam Hunt was elected handily to a fourth term in the state Legislature, returns indicated.
Hunt, the Democrats' floor leader in the House, drew a symbolic challenger in the form of Republican Kevin Bonagofski.
Bonagofski, also of Olympia, said he wanted voters to have a conservative alternative to Hunt. But the Republican held down two jobs and attended South Puget Sound Community College during his campaign, and had little time or money to get out his message.
Rep. Brendan Williams, D-Olympia, was unopposed in the Position 1 seat of the 22nd District.
