Partisan maverick Rep. Tom Campbell is on his way to years 13 and 14 in the Legislature.
The chiropractor from Roy is known for running a number of unconventional bills and for his disagreements with fellow Republicans.
His biggest win in the past session was driving through a law requiring pharmacies to put over-the-counter medications that contain ingredients used by illegal drug-makers behind the counter. Customers have to sign a log to buy the medicine, typically decongestants.
Campbell faced a challenge from Jeff Stephan, an Eatonville Democrat and carpenter. Stephan called for more investments in schools; and a progressive income tax, but he raised little in campaign funds.
