The final 200 Thurston County primary ballots were counted Wednesday, and in the closest race Matthew Green edged Craig Ottavelli for Olympia City Council.
They both will advance to the Nov. 6 general election.
Almost 26 percent of registered voters participated in the primary with 22,734 total votes.

Green beat Ottavelli by 69 votes, out of 5,525 cast. The tally was 2,797 to 2,728, or 34.6 percent to 33.8 percent. Amy Tousley and Toren "Starwing" Valimir were eliminated.
In the other Olympia council race, Jeanne Marie Thomas beat Rhenda Strubb 4,336 to 3,084. They both advance, while Prophet Atlantis will not.
In another close race, this one for Port of Olympia, Bob Van Schoorl beat George Barner 4,351 to 4,076. The percentage was 36.1 to 33.9. Suzanne Nott was eliminated.
For Olympia school board, Carolyn Barclift received 4,384 votes and Lucy Meltzer 3,572. Tom Hill did not advance.
Others advancing include:
n Paul Davis and Debby Hughes for Bucoda council.
n Angela Reese and Maureen Baker for Rainier schools.
n And John Christiansen leads Darrol Steiner for Lacey fire commissioner by 41 votes.
