SEATTLE: Medical Examiner’s office identifies woman in car

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that a body found in a car at Stevens Pass during the weekend was that of 62-year-old Constance Koch, who had been missing from her Lake Stevens home since March 26.

The office said Monday that the manner and cause of Koch’s death are pending.

Koch’s body was found in her white 2005 Toyota Corolla Saturday afternoon about 150 feet down a steep embankment off U.S. 2 at Skykomish.

Koch had worked in the Lake Stevens School District since 1988. She was a science teacher.
