The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings and flood advisories for parts of Western Washington after heavy rains hit the region.

A flood warning was issued for the Skokomish River near Potlach in Mason County. Forecasters say the river should reach flood stage around mid-day on Saturday. Only minor flooding is forecast with the river cresting around flood stage then falling below flood stage later in the day.

A flood advisory was issued for much of Western Washington, including parts of Jefferson, Island, San Juan, Clallam, Skagit, Whatcom, Mason, King, Kitsap Pierce and Snohomish counties.
