Memorial Day ceremony planned for barracks

May 22-The Community Military Appreciation Committee, U.S. National Park Service, city of Vancouver and The Historic Trust will host the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony on Monday at the Fort Vancouver Barracks Parade Grounds, 1501 E. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, beginning with a flag raising at 9:30 a.m.

The Memorial Day ceremony will follow at 10 a.m.

Hot dogs and snacks will be served after the ceremony.

The ceremony includes remarks by U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, an F-15 flyover, artillery and cannon firing demonstrations, Color Guard presentations, recognition of Gold Star families and remembrance activities and displays.
