Man arrested in connection with Capitol Hill triple shooting

Seattle police arrested a man in connection with the Capitol Hill nightclub shooting earlier this week that left three people seriously injured.

Police served a warrant for his arrest at an apartment three blocks from the nightclub, according to police. SWAT investigators descended on the area of 100 Broadway East on Friday, armed and in tactical gear. The man was taken into custody without incident, police said.

The shooting, which occurred around 1 a.m. Monday, happened amid a fight outside the Cultura nightclub. Police initially suspected up to three men opened fire, but later determined one shooter fired nine times, hitting three other men, according to Seattle police.

Two of the men, who suffered serious injuries, were on the sidewalk nearby and were not involved in the altercation, police said. By the next day, the men were in satisfactory condition.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit searched the home for evidence, and the man was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of assault.
