I have found part of the reason Thurston County and the state do not have enough money to repair and maintain our roads. Someone in either Thurston County or the State Transportation Department decided that it is a good idea to place a traffic circle at the top of a hill on a curve at the intersection of Ranger Drive and School Street, which ends at Ranger Drive. This is where the school buses turn off Ranger Drive to get to Lydia Hawk Elementary School. It is an accident waiting to happen.
This traffic circle was not needed and is a total waste of taxpayer money. In addition to the traffic circle, they have also placed at least one speed bump on Ranger Drive. Who is responsible for this nonsense?
