Lattin's thankful for community support

We at Lattin’s Country Cider Mill and farm have much to be thankful for this year.

We live in a community that is caring and compassionate. The response from the community during and after our tragedy was overwhelming. Along with your help, we were able to donate money to help the children in murder victim Kay Langford’s family.

We had no idea the impact our business has on the community. The amount of cards, letters, flowers, donations and most of all, hugs, we received were unbelievable.

Thank you for your support.

Health care bill must be rejected

On Nov. 7, a bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives made history by passing H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

Bipartisan?

One Republican makes this bipartisan? I think that the much larger number of freedom-loving Democrats that voted against this bill makes the opposition much more bipartisan. Wouldn’t it be nice for the federal government to show some capability in fixing anything before taking over one-sixth of our economy?

This bill must be stopped before the government crashes our economy.

PAT TARZWELL, Shelton
