A new year brings significant changes to this nation politically.
One huge change will be in health care as taxpayers will see significant increases in insurance premiums and many other forms of tax increases as this nation begins to build a revenue base to fund the health care plan passed by Congress to cover the uninsured.
The health care plan has no funding to cover the uninsured. Taxes will increase to build this revenue account, scheduled to cover the uninsured in 2014. Republicans should stop wasting time discussing repeal. It’s impossible since they don’t control the Senate.
This nation has a huge problem with the economy and unemployment and it needs all hands on deck to fix it. The health care plan should be fixed, not repealed.
Fixing the health care bill is not as difficult as it seems. Simplify the problem. Half of all the uninsured had coverage, but lost it when the economy soured.
Get this group of workers back to work and half the uninsured without coverage will be removed and you will have an accurate number of the uninsured and unemployed in this country.
Specific efficiencies exist in health care now that would allow one quarter of the remaining uninsured to be covered. The savings from this quarter would generate additional savings, funding the remaining uninsured providing health insurance for all.
Health care administrators know where the money to cover the uninsured is. They just don’t want to spend it on you. They’d rather keep it.
