They should be ashamed of themselves.
I am not a union member and I believe there are many problems with unions that need to be fixed.
However, collective bargaining is a safety net for all of us. I have watched over the last 30 years as workers have lost more and more rights.
People work harder and longer and many work two jobs.
Our children are suffering as is the health and wellbeing of our society.
Junk food is cheap as is sitting and staring at the TV.
Alcohol and drugs, including prescription drugs, run aplenty.
We spend more on football in this country than we do on education.
What happened in Wisconsin should be a wake-up call to all. Politicians are out of control and do not have the best interest of the average working American in mind.
They have corporations in their back pocket. Unless the people rise up, things will only get worse.
I still don’t get why people vote against their own best interest.
But then I don’t own a TV or listen to talk radio.
I still research facts on my own – which brings me to the question: What has happened to investigative journalism? But that is another editorial.
