I am excited that Steve Langer wants to continue to serve on the Olympia City Council.
Langer has been involved in local government, appointed by the governor as a member of our County Boundary Review Board, so he understands many of the challenges that we are facing. He has spent many years as a volunteer working to improve water quality in Puget Sound.
He has received awards for his service on committees working to save Henderson Inlet and we are seeing the positive results from those processes. His calm and studied approach to issues is just what we need.
Since his appointment he has immersed himself in the council work and it is apparent that he is doing his homework.
I have known Langer for many years. It is especially rewarding to see him serving on the Olympia City Council. I look forward to his continuing leadership.
