For some time now, I’ve been concerned about the fact that Caucasians have been erroneously identified as white. It seems to me to be demeaning to call us white. White makes me think pasty, or pale – as if at some time in the fog of the distant past our ancestors were permanently marked by the fear of some unknown threat.
After in-depth research, I have come to the conclusion that there should be a movement to change our color designation to “wheat,” a color that much more closely identifies are true coloring. Not only that, it sounds way more wholesome.
