In response to Dennis Westerlin’s letter where he accuses baby boomers of loving the military now and spitting on the Vietnam War vets: I find it interesting that one uninformed mudslinger tars an entire generation with ignorant rhetoric. There is no proof that baby boomers love the military now. And no, the vast majority did not spit on returning soldiers, who were perceived as (and were indeed) the American victims of the war. The Vietnam veterans are our fathers, brothers and cousins. We did not spit on our family members then, or now. Westerlin thinks propaganda is truth and repeated the lies for no good purpose except to be rude and insulting.
