Miles driven tax is like taxing steps on sidewalks

Being taxed by the miles driven makes about as much sense as taxing city dwellers by the amount of steps taken on a city sidewalk. It will penalize a select group of people.

I live in the country and I already limit my driving to a certain number of days per week. Now, if the powers who came up with this asinine idea would provide bus service and a park-and-ride to the Bordeaux area, I would gladly take the bus.

What will be their next bright idea? Taxing the air we breathe? I for one can’t wait for the next election so I can vote those brilliant minds out of office.
