Australia just recanted its carbon tax

Before Gov. Jay Inslee leads Washington State taxpayers down the road to perdition with his latest tax scheme calling for a tax on carbon dioxide, he ought to put in a call to the Prime Minister Down Under, Tony Abbot. Of course our governor has never met a tax he didn’t like. Earlier this year, the prime minister of Australia did an about face and repealed the tax on carbon saying it caused job losses and higher production costs. He said the policy was a disaster for family incomes and repeal of the carbon tax means a $550-a-year benefit for the average family. Furthermore, Germany, France, Spain and most other European nations have learned these same lessons the hard way. Seems the liberals here never let facts get in the way of their agenda. Hey governor, know what I’m saying?
