I just have to sit back and chuckle at the recent outrage at the Koch brothers. So if someone is rich enough they can buy any election they want, and that is suppose to be bad? When will America start placing blame for society’s failures on the ones that it needs to fall on? Especially in today’s day and age with all the resources we have available.
If the place you receive your information on who to vote for comes from paid commercials or shows like Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” or Bill O’Reilly’s “The O’Reilly Factor” then you get what you deserve. People who will exercise their right to vote should do their research to vote for the candidate they feel will best serve their community. I can say whether it is the Koch brothers or someone on the left like a George Soros, they are wasting their money when it comes to my informed vote because I do my research and don’t listen to the ads.
So don’t get upset at the Koch brothers for having nothing better to spend their hard earned money on; you need to get upset at the people that blindly vote because they saw an ad and liked it. But it has been ongoing for decades. So is this going to be the election where that changes and the electorate is informed instead of falling for marketing campaigns?
