The recent arrangement between the GOP and the prime minister of Israel seems so cozy and mutually satisfying that I support annexing Israel as our 51st state. It would be a very short leap to do so. Israel already enjoys billions of taxpayer dollars each year in, and out.
The GOP has taken millions of Israeli dollars in exchange, as campaign contributions, thus making the nation state an active political force in American politics and public policy. We fight Israel’s wars as it is; that is the very reason that the Israeli leader came to speak to half of the legislative branch. He is urging us to take out Iran. He wants us to use our soldiers to die for his cause. He wants your taxes to protect him.
The GOP agrees, as they fill the campaign contribution coffers. Might as well just make a 51st state.
