Our congressman skipped out on Netanyahu speech

These are sad times indeed when a gaggle of Democrats chose to put their party before their responsibilities to represent the people of their respective states by boycotting Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu’s address before a joint session of Congress. These Obama backers will be in full support of Israel when the time comes to stick out their tin cups at fund raising time. Attendance wasn’t taken at the joint session, but The Hill and IBD (Investors Business Daily) reported the following names from our great state boycotted the prime minister’s speech: Denny Heck, Rick Larsen and of course Jim McDermott, and then there was Adam Smith – no Virginia not that Adam Smith – who reported he was “troubled” and “undecided.”

I guess he thought this joint session of Congress was a national security issue. Kudos go to Reps. Suzan DelBene and Derek Kilmer who rose above the charade and did the the job they were hired to do. As did Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
