Easter egg hunt put selfishness on display

I was at the Tumwater High School Easter egg event to watch my grandson who is just about to turn 3. It was a disgrace to see some of the parents running out there taking eggs just as little ones were about to pick them up.

My daughter and son-in-law let my grandson pick up his own, but as he tried adults would grab them and he looked at my daughter and said “I want eggs.” He got four. After it was over I watched as this couple whose daughter was too young to even walk or eat the candy, let alone know what it was all about, sitting on the grass going through at least 30 eggs.

They were just wanting it all for themselves, very selfish and sad.
