Injured man grateful for care from strangers

While delivering The Olympian on a route that runs from South Bay Road to Johnson Point Loop on the morning of Feb. 9, I fell and broke my hip at one stop. Fortunately, my wife was riding along that morning and was able to summon help. To the residents who responded that morning, to the fire department personnel, the ambulance people, the excellent staff in the emergency room at Providence St. Peter Hospital and Mother Joseph Care Center, I owe a debt of gratitude and an appreciation for your concern and care that you provided me. To the many others who helped that day and during the weeks that followed, many thanks.

Michael H. Wilson
