Why have a fireworks ban?
As I write this, countless loud explosions can be heard nearby, and I have to wonder:
Why do we have a ban on fireworks when there is no enforcement of it?
Why do we have to listen to M80s going off every night between Friday and Monday?
How many pets will panic and run away in fear and perhaps never be found again because everyone scoffs at the ban and sets off illegal pyrotechnics because nothing happens to them when they do?
And no, I do not believe that everyone using illegal fireworks on the Fourth is celebrating American freedom. I do believe that the Fourth is now just an excuse for a lot of people to ignore the ban we all approved and do as they please in spite of it.

Putin attacks people, not military targets
Buildings, military bases, factories, roads, bridges — all are military targets. But Russian President Vladimir Putin targets Ukrainian schools, hospitals, theaters, daycares, train stations, pharmacies, grain silos, and his latest — a shopping mall.
This evil, hate-filled man is trying to satisfy his wish to wipe Ukraine and its people off the face of the earth. You can almost see him salivating as he views the death, pain and destruction.
Yes, war is hell, but surely, there is a special place in hell just for him!

Washington state’s true threat
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee previously entered a “convention” with Oregon, California, and other Western states in negating federal immigration laws to create “sanctuary” states facilitating illegal immigration into the United States.
Now the governor again enters a “convention” with Oregon and California negating various states’ rights by ordering Washington’s law enforcement agencies’ non-cooperation with states’ investigations in accordance with their abortion legislation.
In that this governor seems at odds with the federal/states’ rights form of governance of the United States of America, one wonders if secession from the Union cannot be imminent and a new “country” consisting of Washington, Oregon and California be formed.
Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles have devolved into high crime and unlivable conditions under Democratic rule. ... Democratic governance has held populations captive to mob rule, increased crime, loss of life, and destruction of property at will. No effort is made to bring perpetrators to justice as “no bail” laws release the criminal back onto streets to repeat crime.
“Woke” mentality has overtaken government, education, corporate, and financial America.
Washington’s governor recently warned in a press event that Republicans pose the greatest threat to our state. However, with the ever-mounting evidence against Progressive Left policies daily reported — inflation, food prices, gas prices, blatant disregard of the rule of law, and authoritarianism — Washingtonians finds themselves currently under the proven threat, namely, this governor and his Progressive Democratic colleagues occupying state and national office.

Does Olympia love trees?
Many people are outraged at the lack of Olympia City Council action on tree destruction that has occurred on Cain Road and Cooper Point Road. I sounded the alarm about the Olympia City Council’s laissez faire attitude toward tree destruction months ago, about their plan to cut 80 large trees in Grass Lake Park. That project is still in the works.
The city council likes to talk about climate mitigation, but it is just business as usual in actual fact. There is also a plan to allow the cutting of 100 trees around Capital Mall.
Get out to the city council meetings and demand greater tree protection in our city now! Peace with the Earth.
