Skiers and snowboarders will be able to carve up the slopes a day after carving their Thanksgiving turkeys.
Crystal Mountain Resort plans to kick off the ski season Friday by opening two chairlifts and its gondola. Lift tickets will be discounted to $55 from $74 for the partial opener.
At the top of the mountain, the Green Valley lift will be operating, while, at the base, the resort said it plans to run the Discovery lift. The resort said it could “expand or contract” the plans.
Tuesday, the resort reported a snow depth of 2 inches at the base and 12 inches at the summit.
