National parks across the U.S. will be offering free admission this weekend, including Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park and North Cascades National Park
Entrance fees will be waived Saturday and Sunday at parks that normally charge them, saving visitors from $3 to $25.
While the cost for activities such as camping, tours or concessions is not affected by the entrance fee waiver, many area hotels and restaurants, will offer discounts and special promotions.
There’s more information about fee-free weekends on the Park Service Web site at www.nps.gov/findapark/feefreeparks.htm.
