 • The snowpack at Paradise at Mount Rainier National Park has been slowly dwindling because of warmer temperatures and a lack of fresh snow. Thursday morning, weather station telemetry showed a snowpack of 81 inches.

 • Today starts the Women of Winter program at Summit Central. The program is meant to give women of all ages and ability levels a chance for some fun, fitness and fresh air on the slopes. The group will meet every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A snow play program for children is available for participants. Get details at www.summitatsnoqualmie.com.
