Three things to do this weekend

Saturday: The Capitol Peak Ultras club is holding its ninth annual post-holiday fun run – whose name is not suited for family newspapers – at Mima Campground near Littlerock. The 8 a.m. race includes a 17-mile and 34-mile course. www.capitolpeakultras.com/cpmfaindex.htm

Saturday and Sunday: The Lacey Cabela’s will host a clinic on float and spoon fishing for steelhead. Staff members will discuss techniques to make these fishing methods more effective; noon to 12:45 p.m. in the fishing department.

Saturday and Sunday: Forget the rain and check out a Discovery Pack at Nisqually National Wildlife refuge. The pack include activities for children in grade levels 3 through 6. Binoculars also are available for check-out from the visitor center with a valid photo ID.
