What: A noncompetitive run for people of all ages and abilities. The 5K course follows the forested Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail. It is flat and stroller friendly. Starting at Heritage Recreation Center, the course runs around the baseball fields then heads south and takes a large counter-clockwise loop around South Hill Park and forested wetlands. Then it progresses back toward the center’s lower soccer fields, north along 94th Avenue, then west through the lower parking lot and ends at the baseball fields.
When: Saturday, 10 a.m.
Where: Heritage Recreation Center, 9010 128th Street E., Puyallup
Getting there: Take the Canyon Road Exit from Highway 512, heading south. Turn left onto 128th Street East. The park is about 2.3 miles from the Canyon Road intersection.

History: This is the second year the run has been held.
Cost: $25, registration and check-in opens at 9 a.m. T-shirts will be available for $10 while supplies last.
Also: The run takes place regardless of the weather, as noted in the name. To quote the run Web site: Remember, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.” Spectators might enjoy viewing the race at the 1-mile mark, located at South Hill Park.
